I'm really looking forward to a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art tomorrow. I'll get to see my current favorite painting by Degas that I shared a couple of weeks ago. I'm going with my dear friend Lori and I'm sure we'll go visit her current favorite painting as well. This is titled Joan of Arc and was painted by Jules Bastien-Lepage (French, 1848–1884).
This image does not do the painting justice at all. The painting is very large and Joan of Arc looks so real. It is so striking and you just want to stand there and take it all in.
So we will be visiting these favorites and I'm sure we will be finding new favorites which I'll share with you on another day.
